Guys to check out!

There are so many builders out there that get no where near the recognition they deserve! Im going to start a weekly post of guys that build the most bad ass rods possible! When I think of modern hot rod builders the first person that comes to mind is Brian Bass. Mr. Bass builds, in my opinion, the best hot rods and customs being built... anywhere. Here are some of his cars:

He has many other cars check him out! One of my heros for sure!!

Waymore

My 33 Ford pickup is coming along quickly!! Gonna be a blast to drive! The truck already has a pretty awesome story! My cousin bought a 47 ford back in the 90s while in the military. He was stationed in Texas and drove the car all over the south and up to Missouri multiple times. After he blew the trans up he sold the car to his brother. He took the flattie out put in Mustang II and a 302 c4 combo. The motor was given to me along with the front axle and rear end... all are in old Waymore now. After a close look at the motor we found awesomness! Stroked, ported, relieved, cam, adjustible lifters... runs strong!!! Its now linked to a 47 ford truck three speed. The frame started as a Model A frame but all thats left is the first few feet, I custom built the rest of the frame. Its channeled 6 inches and chopped 5. Workin my ass of so he will be ready for warm weather!!!

Intro

My name is David and im a hot rodder. I was born into this life style with a hot rodder dad. I build hot rods, not rat rods. I hate the term rat rod. What makes a rat rod? What makes a hot rod? To me a rat rod is a cobbled together shit pile of a car that was built for shock value. A hot rod is a well thought out, carefully built mosheen for one purpose... DRIVING! Im not a period perfect builder. I build cars how ever i like. Period perfect is in the same realm of restorers, I have tons of respect for the people that build cars in these styles! But I dont have the time, money or patience for this! I use what I have, whats given to me, or what i can afford. My current project is a 1933 Ford Pickup. Nothing on the truck is newer than 1948. But that is another post. Basically I love hot rods and the occasional custom, and this is my little shirne to them.
